Our Technology
Technology That Makes Treatment Easier
We invest in the best tools in orthodontics for one reason: better outcomes for your child, with less disruption to your family’s week. Here is what that looks like, from the first scan to the last appointment.
New technology is easy to put on a website and harder to use well. We do not adopt tools to look modern. We adopt them when they make treatment more precise, more comfortable, or less of an interruption to your life. Every system below earns its place by doing one of those three things, and most of them do all three.
01. The Scan
iTero Digital Scanning
Treatment starts with a clear picture of your child’s teeth, and we capture it with an iTero scanner instead of a tray of putty. No goopy impressions, no gagging, just a wand and a few minutes. The scan gives Dr. Varble a true 3D model of the mouth to plan from, and it is how we can show you a preview of the finished smile at your very first visit.

02. The Plan
In-House 3D Printing
That scan does more than plan treatment. For clear aligner patients, it drives our own 3D printing lab, right here in the practice. Most orthodontists send aligner production out and wait. We print Spark Clear Aligners in-house, which means a more precise fit, tighter control over quality, and a faster turnaround when your child is ready for the next set.

03. The Treatment
Damon Ultima Brackets
For patients in braces, we use the Damon Ultima system. These are self-ligating brackets, which hold the wire without the elastic ties traditional braces depend on. In practice, that means fewer adjustments, shorter appointments, and a more comfortable experience through treatment. It is one of the most advanced bracket systems made, and we chose it deliberately.

04. The Monitoring
DentalMonitoring
Once treatment is underway, DentalMonitoring keeps it on track without constant trips to the office. It is an FDA-cleared system that uses AI to read the weekly scans your child takes at home with a phone, and Dr. Varble reviews every one himself. If something needs attention, we catch it. If everything is on track, you have saved a trip. For busy families, it changes what the whole experience feels like.

How It Works Together
One Connected System
None of these tools work in isolation. The iTero scan feeds the plan and the printer. The Damon system moves teeth efficiently between visits. DentalMonitoring watches the progress so we only bring you in when it counts. Together, they let us deliver a high standard of care while asking less of your family’s calendar. That balance is the whole point.

COMMON QUESTIONS
What Parents Want to Know
What will I actually experience as a patient?
It starts with the iTero scan instead of messy impressions, and a preview of where treatment is headed. From there, whether your child is in Damon Ultima braces or Spark Clear Aligners, most of the check-ins happen from home through DentalMonitoring. You come in for the appointments that genuinely need a chair, and skip the ones that do not.
Why print aligners in-house instead of using a lab?
Control. When we print Spark Clear Aligners in our own lab, we are not waiting on an outside facility’s queue or trusting their quality check. We can produce a precise fit, review it ourselves, and get the next set to your child faster. It is a real operational advantage, and your family feels it as fewer delays.
Will my child still need to come in for appointments?
Yes, just fewer of them. Some moments need to happen in the chair, and those still do. But the routine “everything looks fine” visits are handled through DentalMonitoring, with Dr. Varble reviewing the scans. The technology does not replace his care. It focuses it on the visits that matter.
